Hi again Laura,
In the past month, we have looked at every Waldorf doll we could find on etsy, and studied the work of every Waldorf doll maker we could find on etsy. We figured out how to look at sales to see the dolls that each dollmaker had made before. Eventually, we found that there were four dollmakers whose work we liked the best. You, of course, were one of those dollmakers. What we are getting to is that even before you gave us the gift of acceptance and caring, of friendship, we admired your artistic sensibilities, your dollmaking style.... we see you as an artist, expressing yourself through your dolls.
So sometimes I think the wisest thing for me to do (for us to do) is to share some ideas or inclinations, and then after you and we have thrown some ideas around, then you go with what resonates with you and how you are inclined to make the doll at that time.
Am I making sense?
I feel like if I keep my hand, or my decisions, too much on the doll, that it might interfere with your creative process or decisions.
And we trust your decisions because we love your dolls.
We see a lot of love, and an understanding of childhood, shining through your dolls.
Carole
